Evaluation

Many of our clients face the challenge of providing insight in the results of a project or program. The target group can be your public supporters, your donors or your own internal organisation.

Bureau Wyser conducts efficient and reliable evaluations for various organisations in international development cooperation, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

We are proficient in the use of both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods, in cooperation with (among others) the Centre for International Development Issues Nijmegen (CIDIN) of Radboud University in Nijmegen.

Reliable results, practical lessons
When it comes to evaluations, our involvement doesn’t stop at a focused methodology and reliable analysis. We also translate the results into valuable, understandable and applicable lessons for you to work with.

Some examples of our evaluations:

Final evaluation (in cooperation with EyeOpenerWorks Uganda) of the Crossroads program on peace and reconciliation by looking into the outputs and outcomes, with a particular focus on the community dialogues that were implemented in Northern Uganda around the screenings of the Yat Madit television series (2017)

Final evaluation of the SECO funded project Fair Trade Tourism South Africa, www.fairtrade.travel (2012-2016). The evaluation studies the outputs and outcomes of the project, but also emphasizes the lessons learned of the project and recommendations for the future.

Final evaluation of the SECO funded project with www.thecode.org (2011-2016). The Code is a code of conduct and a voluntary standard for the tourism industry on combatting Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism (SECTT). In the evaluation we are looking at SECO’s support to the further establishment of thecode.org in Bangkok. The evaluation studies the outputs and outcomes of the project, but also emphasizes the lessons learned of the project and recommendations for the future.

Meta-evaluation of Hivos’ global LGBTI programme 2005-2014 (2015)

Outcome evaluation of the Project Liberation Tourism (2012-2015) in, of and for the 'Province Gelderland' commissioned by the Steering Group Liberation Tourism in Wageningen, The Netherlands.

What do our clients say?

"Bureau Wyser evaluated various programmes for Lokaalmondiaal. They did that in an exceptional effective manner: Bureau Wyser manages to guide the process professionally, ensures a high quality of the scientific analysis and research approach, while the researchers manage to involve the client in the research in a pleasant atmosphere. As a result, the researches, even when they contained critical elements, were very useful. Not only in the context of reporting to donors, but at the same time very useful for internal processes of learning."
